Hi moms and dads, I'm Hieu Phu Quoc, a new member here. I'm a dad-to-be. So excited because this will have been my first child after 5 years of marriage. I'm a super small business owner. I love travelling, meditating and meeting new people. I'd like to meet you one day when you can share with one another your valuable experience raising excellent kids. That would be great. By the way, if you like me to help correct some English mistakes, I'd be happy to do that. Also, do you think we should select some common topics for us to talk about and learn new vocabulary at the same time? We may start with "How to raise great kids" and anyone interested can register for a meeting, online or offline (up to us). It's free but you need to write down at least 02 sentences about the topic by replying this thread to be accepted . In the future, to give people a challenge, we may require you to write down 5 sentences about a certain topic to be approved. Just my ideas. How do you like it? Let me know. It's my pleasure to meet you guys. Have a great day. Hieu Phu Quoc PS: One nice surprise, I found there are a lot less dads than moms in our forum. I think this is a good place for both halves of the world.
Hi Cuong. Nice to meet you too. I'm a part-time English teacher but I have a small company beside. English is my passion. And I love helping people to speak excellent English. What about you? Tell me a little bit about yourself. If you have some kids, you can share your experience with me also. I want to be a great dad. Thanks.
I am still young, just graduate from university. I am also have big passion in English like you Mr Hieu, I am looking for an active English community to help improving English, especially in writing.
Mình đã thấy những tiện ích của Chung cư Vinhome mang laị nhưng tìm trung tâm tiếng anh thì chưa ra, ai biết chỗ nào hay ho khong ạ?
Hi. Thanks for your compliment. Why don't you start some topic so that people can share their opinions around it? Cheers, Hieu Phu Quoc.
^^ Cheers
No problem. You can be a good help to create such a community. Don't just depend on someone else. Because most people I know are eager to start and and eager to quit. English is easy but we make it so complicated by trying 10 methods at the same time or read everything about English methods without practicing these methods. Reading is nothing. Practicing is everything. Just my idea. If you have passion about something, follow it, live it by taking some small, consistent action towards its achievement everyday, that alone would make you happy. By the way, you can make your paragraph better like this " I am still young. I (have) just graduated from my university. I also have a great passion for English like you, Mr. Hieu. I am looking for an active English community to help improve my English, especially my writing skills." Hope it helps. Have a great day, Cuong.
Hey, why don't you talk a little bit about yourself? Your hobbies? Why are you here? What interests you?...Do you like pets? Something easy. Would you like people to help you with English or you want to help others to get better with English? Let your thoughts out. Cheers, Hieu
I'm going to follow this topic as the way to improve writing English skill. After years learning, now I know I should start again with listening materials from easy to difficult like level 1 to level 5 until reach advance, just understand anything you hear then you've got excitement to go on. Hieu Phu Quoc has a great experience: you should listen before you speak and read a lot before you're good at writing. I don't know what I'll get from learning this language in the future, immensely may be but i love it and proud of me when I can see movies without subtitle, understand what foreigner say, listen stories around the world, get much information in English, so on and so forth. I'm just in intermediate level so I still keep learning everyday.
once again, I'm a mother who have two small children and I would dignify when Hieu Phu Quoc came to "how to raise great kids". I sent my eldest son to the hometown with his grandparents in this summer, 3 months and I think he will be better there. I wonder if that is right decision or not, it's too hard for a kid far from his parent for so long?? because I'm so much in caring about my kids.
