You're welcome, Maihuongth. You did a great job. There's always room for improvement. So no worries. Don't get stuck in the idea of perfectionism. Just relax and speak. Anyway, I think you could improve your piece of writing a little bit. If you like me to help with it, I'd be happy to do that when I have free time. Cheers, Hieu
Hi every one! My English's very bad, so i want to improve skill listen and speak...Nice to meet u, guys!

I need a lot of direction from mentor like you to be success in learning English because i'm self-taught. You know i'm struggling with my 3 months baby boy, so you can imagine how hard at my circumstance but i commit to myself that never give up. Well I'd like to talk about goals and dreams.

What's a wonderful topic! Only "chém gió" or do we have any specific topic to discuss in a certain time?
I agree with you, bhkien. We should give out some specific topics such as: how to get motivation in learning English, how to listen, speak, read, write English well?, which materials we should learn from or how is your job now? or share about your first day at work? how do you get your job? so on.
it's great if we could focus on certain topics, 1 topic per week is ok. anyway, could I create another Chinese topic here?
Nâu pờ rốp bờ lèm bạn ơi. Cứ đi off và nói chuyện nhiều nhiều thì tự tin ngay ấy mà. Quan trọng là cứ chém đi.
Nice to meet MeTom0201, too. The first thing to do when you want to achieve something is to believe you can do it. Use I CAN a lot instead of i can't. Ok? By the way, you can change your writing a little bit like this to make it better. "My English is very bad, so I want to improve my listening and speaking skills..." Hope it helps. Cheers, Hieu Phu Quoc
Bravo Maihuongth. You a such a great and dedicated mother. Your English level, as far as I can see, is intermediate but your heart level is advanced. With your positive attitude, you can do anything. I admire you. By the way, I can give you some suggestions for this piece of writing so you know what I mean by helping. I never suspect native speakers can understand you when you speak. But to make your writing sound native, you should read a lot of real materials for Americans, Canadians, Australians, British people...to familiarize yourself with their writing style, structures, syntax, punctuation...It's not easy but possible. Here's my suggestion: "Thank you for your offer! I'm still confused about the way you would help. Writing is one of the most difficult skills and I'm trying to practice, but you can show me how. I need a lot of assistance from a mentor like you to be successful with English because i'm self-taught/have been learning it myself/. You know, I'm struggling with my 3 month-old baby boy. So, you can imagine how hard my circumstance is. But I commit myself that I will never give up. Well, now I'd like to talk about goals and dreams." All the best, Hieu Phu Quoc
Thanks a lot, Mr bhkien, for co-creating this forum and useful threads. I think we should list 1-4 topics for the whole month and vote for the hottest item to discuss for the first week. And then, the second, third, forth week. So everybody knows what to expect when joining this thread. The key is, we work together to build up vocabulary in certain areas. And people have time to prepare at home before getting online for discussion. The discussion could take place if at least 5 people have registered for a topic and confirmed their attendance. So, we can go deeper and really extend our vocabulary. If we're serious enough, we can learn many things together here. Just my ideas. Cheers, Hieu Phu Quoc
Hi hieupede. What kind of Chinese topic do you want to start? If it's just about the language, why don't you create a new thread for that? Cheers, Hieu Phu Quoc
Hức hức thấy mọi người viết T.Anh mà thèm quá. Mình gần như quên sạch rồi, nói thì nói chứ viết chạ nhớ đủ hết ký tự
