    1. Emergence of a global uniform culture:

All over the world, people wear Levis jeans, stuff Big Macs, drink CocaCola, listen to Madonna and watch The Simpsons. Because of worldwide consumption and the perception of the same products - just do my homework , critics of cultural globalisation warn of an impending global uniform culture. Buzzwords such as McDonaldisation, global cultural meltdown and Americanisation or Westernisation are mentioned.

It is feared that people all over the world are adopting the moral concepts - same day essay writer , lifestyles and eating habits of the Western world, and especially of the Americans, completely without reflection. Critics speak of the danger that the prevailing cultural diversity will disappear and that people will become more and more alike. Behind this is the idea that all people perceive the respective products and ideas in the same way and integrate them into their lives.

    2. Returning to local cultural traditions, which results in a cultural fragmentation of society:

Out of the fear of having to trade in their own cultural specificities for a one-size-fits-all culture, many people are recalling their local cultural traditions. One example is the work of the Academie Francaise. The Academy, which is supposed to monitor and guide the development of French language and literature, tries to limit the use of Anglicisms in the French language. For this reason, it develops French translations for commonly used English terms: for example, the "walkman" was translated as "bailladeur", the "internet" as "entreréseau" and "fast food" as "formule rapide".

However, the return to one's own culture can also take a turn. It then culminates in the effort to shield oneself from all foreign influences. This isolation from foreign influences carries the danger of a complete fragmentation (dissection) of society - do my engineering assignment . This is where Samuel P. Huntington's thesis of the "clash of civilisations" comes in. The American political scientist claims that the excessive ethnic consciousness of cultures leads to conflicts between the individual cultures.
