I am a Female Walker , in my late 40s , based near Warminster hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with. My Message: Hi! I'm hoping to meet a female walking buddy for half day, full day or multi day hikes. Some camping would be great also, especially wild camping. I particularly love walking in Dartmoor/Exmoor and certainly prefer hills and mountains to coast, but am open to pretty much anything. I am generally fairly quiet and self contained, but would love to have someone to appreciate everything time in the hills and off the beaten track offers. I currently solo walk (with my dog), have my own car and usually have a day or two off in the week as well as most weekends. If any of this sounds interesting, please do drop me a line and say hi! Wild Camping - Camping out in the wilds well away from anyone & any facilities, Peak Bagging - where the aim is to climb all the hills or mountains on a particular list such as 'bagging' all the Wainwrights or Munros, Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk, Back Packing - Multi-day walks carrying all your gear & wild camping, Important: For the avoidence of doubt I am definitely not looking for anything other than someone to go walking with. Enjoy watching my team play football too Currently tend to walk alone locally in west Berkshire area, taking the train to villages outside of area at times.. Always enjoyed adventures to new places.. Now I have more time, would be lovely to share the moments and have a laugh and an adventure along the way. stop off to take in the scenery and some lunch. I'm open to walking in most places, usually near to home, And surrounding areas, but not restricted to that and happy to venture further afield,once I know someone to go for walks with. Love walking in countryside and to villages with things to see .. I do enjoy a tranquil setting. A short train ride and I'm in London Paddington.Enjoy some walks around London too, I completed the walk around Hadrian's wall some years ago..completed over a few weekends. Camping on Campsites - Camping where there is a shop, toilets, showers & possibly a pub, Trips Away, Watching Some Sport, Enjoy Watching Football ..visiting Historical Buildings , I am not actively looking for anyone other than a new walking companion but if that right person came along . . . My Message: Hi I'm Dan Most of my walking is done in North Wales, only occasionally straying over the border into Shropshire, I do circular walks as the only way to get around wales quickly is by car, I do a huge variety of walks, Walks around lakes and reservoirs, Mountain peaks, Canal walks, follow moorland tracks, and streams to their source,. Most of the walks are published (off the peg walks), but i like to plan and research my own walks as well. I do remote moorland walks as i like the peace and solitude, Moorlands are the last of the unspoilt countryside free from the clutter of modern living. When i go walking i like to take photographs of my walk as this forms a visual picture board memory of my walks. Here are just 2 of the walks i would like to do this year, Newborough Warren sand dunes on Anglesey, (Some of the best in Europe) Go over the boarder into Shropshire in search of Britains rarest tree,. Would love to meet and walk with someone predominantly in the Peak District but can travel further afield in the autumn and winter seasons. I've walked the Camino, Cleveland Way (many years ago) and the Peak Pilgrimage a couple of years ago. Quite happy now doing walks in between 6 - 10 miles looking at plants and wildlife on the way. I am generally free Saturdays and certain days in the week. I would say I'm an average fitness - digging on my allotment also keeps me fit! I would love to do the Mary Jones walk in Wales as a pilgrimage at some point.
