Bệnh nhân mang thai lần thứ ba, thai nhi được 18 tuần. Sau khi uống nước lá để phá thai, người bệnh sảy thai kèm chảy máu không ngừng. Tại bệnh viện, người bệnh được chẩn đoán thủng tử cung và nhiễm trùng tử cung sau phá thai, được chỉ định mổ cấp cứu. Trong quá trình mổ, phát hiện ổ bụng có nhiều dịch mủ, nhiều giả mạc, các quai ruột dính vào thành khối tử cung, có lỗ thủng tại đáy tử cung, vòi tử cung căng dãn dính vào mặt sau tử cung. Kíp mổ đã tiến hành bóc tách, gỡ dính, cắt tử cung bán phần và vòi tử cung hai bên. Hiện, bệnh nhân dần ổn định, tiếp tục được theo dõi tại bệnh viện. Theo các bác sĩ, tự ý phá thai tại nhà bằng phương pháp truyền miệng dễ gây ra biến chứng.
