1. What are newspapers like in your country?

Well, you know, there are many kinds of newspapers in my country, which is based on the different fields in our life to be classified, such as: sport, economy, law, culture and science. So actually, the content of each must be appropriate to the newspaper’s name. I suppose I could mention some details like sport papers publish the articles about happenings of football or tennis matches , first prizes’ values, news of famous professional sportspersons, etc…; economic papers, for example, includes foreign currency exchange rates and experts’ criticism about property or stock market fluctuations. In general, I think although newspapers publish lots of information in diversified subjects to attract readers, they still need to be assured of accuracy and truth.

2. Tell me some of the rules about talking that children in your country learn.

Well, you know, I think everyone believe that children should be educated about talking rules to become a polite person. Firstly, I suppose I should say that children must know how to listen to the advices from adults carefully with respective attitudes, which are, for example, not to yawn tiredly and not to concentrate on other places. As well as, I could add that children also have to talk to another correctly. When they chit chat to their friends, they can say anything they want. But when they talk to older person, they mustn’t speak too quickly or use slangs, or gesticulate, etc… especially, mustn’t argue with oldies loudly. In addition, it’s forbidden to interrupt someone speaking. So, actually there are many rules of talking for children to learn, particularly in the Eastern traditional cultured countries because the characters of not only the children but also their parents are evaluated through the way they behave.

3. What effects do you think using computers could have on children’s writing skills?

Ok, I think using computers is diminishing children’s writing skills dramatically. Firstly, often using computers loses handwriting’s shape. Maybe you are not aware but while Vietnamese attaches special importance to train children’s handwriting, typing on keyboard is making their hands stiff so writing speed is falling down and neat handwriting is becoming deformed. In detail, software for online chatting like yahoo and sky, or email is really ruining Vietnamese language. Although marks are so important in our language, children almost forget to add them in the words typed on yahoo or email. Therefore, when doing the tests, they always confuse teachers with unmarked sentences. Moreover, they cannot write a correct sentence if grammar is usually ignored to draft a message or email. So, from what misusing computers has caused for us negatively, I suppose language in general is being lost in oblivion.

1/ What are newspapers like in your country ?

Well you know, I suppose there are two basic kinds. Firstly, there are many newspapers which fit in each gender and age and issue daily, weekly or monthly. Then there’s another kind which are updated more rapidly than I have just said, they are online newspapers. Both of them have been grown in not only quantity but also quality - I mean, especially in attractive contents and useful information.

2/ Tell me some of the rules about talking that children in your country learn, such as when they can talk and when they can’t.

As you know, I think Vietnam is a civilized country and children have educated to become polite persons since they were very young. For example, their parents and relatives always remind them to greet when they meet the grown – ups . Besides, I suppose there are things about politeness – you know, they have to say “inviting everyone” before having meals or say “please”,“thank you” – things like that when they receive presents or helps.
They can’t talk or argue when adults bring up them , especially in cutting into conversation . In schools, if they want to ask a question or say something – I mean, they should put your hand up. I believe children are also taught to use certain volume when they are speaking – you know, that it rude to speak too loudly and affect another persons.

3/ What effects do you think using computers could have on children’s writing skills ?

Well, I believe everything has a good side and a bad side, and using computer for writing is no exception, especially in children’s writing skills. I think that it is so rapid and convenient to find and fix mistakes because of computer’s spell check. However, they don’t have to memorize correct spelling in the way that people do who don’t use computers. And then I suppose their use of English not be so good.
In addition, children use internet a lot – you know, therefore they depend on it and they are lazy to think when they write. I suppose people usually abbreviate in emails so children can’t to write full sentences because of the habit of aping the grown – ups.

The issue of the relationship between wealth and happiness is a controversial one. On the one hand, for most people it is likely that wealth has improved their happiness. On the other hand, others belive that having a lot of money does not buy much happiness. In the final analysis , I am convinced that money can not make people happy but lack of money can make people unhappy.
To begin with, nothing can alter that the richness can lead to the better life, so those who support this statement should have all their arguments justified. First of all, one reason for their belief is that money increases quality of life. Specifically, people can afford to have beautiful houses, eat out in splendour restaurants and have absolutely outstanding holidays. Next, somehow many of us find it reasonable to accept their point, understand the reason explaining that they can use money to help people in need by fund raising and charity. For example,the billionaire Carlos Slim donated 500 million USD to open a medical center for the poor in the Latin America. Furthermore, one point worth mentioning here is that wealth can help people to achieve their dreams and desires. For instance, a person who want to be a famous lawyer must spend a large sum of money attending famous university, buying books, etc…
Nevertheless, if people look at other angles of this issue, the above argument is not generally consisted as an accurate one to everyone since there also some people who advocate that wealth can not secure their happiness. As regards their justification, the reason usually claimed by many of them to convince us is that wealth can lead to many social evils. A man of wealth wastes his money on unwholesome activities such as using drugs, gambling, etc…Another reason is that nowadays, the children of the rich families become spoilt and do not study hard. They use their parents’ money to play games, buy not good something, so they make their parents worry. Perhaps the most important reason is that the rich has no real friends. Their friends can be people who only care and love their money not themselves.
For all these reasons, I firmly believe that wealth is not always good nor always bad. It can ensure happier life but it also brings misery and other bad effects.

1.Erm, I think newspapers in my country is very diversified and rich. However, if we divide by newspapers of reader are two types. For the reader read to find information, study, research report,…it is nature of political, economic or educational characteristic reported. The language they use formal and more serious. For the magazines, newspapers give news daily life,information on event movie, sport…the reader read to pleasure, relaxation. They use the language is informal, has many pictue. Althrough, accuracy of the information is not high, special is the magazine, the nature of the entertainment newspapers.
2. When we were a child,we were taugh basic rules, one of the things we had stydied when we can talk and when we can’t. One of people is talking, we wait their turn to speak. If we interupt people is talking, it’s impolite, and we should wait. If we are in a classsroom, we have to rise our hand if we want to speak. We should not call people with bad nickname, which makes them vulnerable. We often say “please” or “thank you” to express respect and gratitued to others when they help themselves. If some one say “thank you” to our, we should reply “No problem” or “I am ready”. I think there are important things every children have to study.
3. Erm, now the kids use computer very early, that effects children’s writing skills. To be use the computer to write articles, it is very clean and easy to readers. If the children use the computer a lot, they do not use pen, paper when they write on paper, they can make a mistake. Because computers is install software support check spelling and grammar. This software will autocorrect when they write error. Write by hand with pen and paper they will not know themselves write true or fall, they are very confusing. At the moment, the young use chat language difference regularly language, many people do not understand this language. Inaddition, the children often chat with each other, they do not write complete sentences. So, their ability to write will be less. I think, people should not use the computer early and often.

1. Alright, in my opinion, I suppose that there are two kinds of newspaper. The first, there are magazines for children. And secondly, there are for adults only.
Well you know, magazines for children always have lovely painting as well as cartoon characters or short funny stories, even fun quiz. Generally, they are very colourful and attractive children. In contrast, the newspaper for aldults are usually decorated more simply. Actually, The article also are more enlarged. Well, as you can probably guess, the newspaper can refer to happening situation in society, everyday life or people who are famous. For example, the news about sport competitions, education news, the weather forcast, many dangerous problem affecting the environment. In addition, there are also scientific magazines. And of course, the readers can find information about the research of scientistes or the new technologies, and maybe the new way to treat dangerous diseases.
Well, in conclusion, I believe that there are two basics kinds of newspaper.

2. Well, I’d love to tell you, in my country, the children are taught very carefully about the behavior to older people. When their grandparents or their parents are talking to them , they have to keep silent, and concentrate hear what they are talking about. And you know, if they want to speak, they should ask a question for the permission. Especially, they are not allowed to speak too loudly with the older people or interrupt them, because they are considered as impolite children. Additionally, In classroom, when the children want to speak, they must put their hand up, and wait for the teacher’s authorization.
Furthermore, they should use some polite words when they are saying with the older people. And it’s better for them if they usually say “thank you” or “sorry” when it’s necessary.
So, from my perspective, there are some rules that I talk above for the children when thay can talk or when they should not talk.

3. Well you know, nowadays, the technologies more and more develop. As you know, computers are more common. And the children are aquainted with using computer to type letter or something else. When using computer, they don’t need to type exactly the words, because after that the computer will repares for their mistakes. Furthermore, they rarely write full sentences, and itself will makes them some difficulties when they gown- up and they will have to write a report. Or in some cases, they will feel difficult to hold their pen, and they will write very slowly. You know, with this speed, they can not write down fully the lesson text. And of course, they will have some bad effect in their study.

Well, at present, newspaper plays an important role in life because they can express reader’s style and character. Basically, there are two types of newspaper. The first kind I should mention is printed newspaper. I suppose if I had to describe a typical newspaper, I should say that it is full of news, comics and of course each newspaper focuses on a field such as health, sport, business, woman… There’s another kind which is very familiar with readers as a result of the rapid development of the Internet is newspaper online. It is likely to bring many conveniences to readers and they may reply. However, you know private life of celebrities and unconfirmed information also can be posted. Generally, regarding to the form, maybe there are two basic kinds.

Well, in actual fact, children are taught many rules about communication skills and one of important skills is speaking. Any children know that they need to respect the others when speaking. It is very impolite to interrupt people. Firstly, they should listen and then they can give their opinion with a certain volume and of course I suppose that children must use full sentences while speaking to their parent or elder people. Besides, they are also taught that do not chew something and speak at the same time. These are some rules that any children need to learn by heart and practice in life.

3. What effects do you think using computers could have on children’s writing?

Well, it is no doubt that using computer influence on children’s handwriting. In fact, children spend too much time chatting or searching new things on the Internet and that’s why they don’t have enough time to practice writing skills. They seem to forget putting the punctuation into a sentence or a paragraph, even holding a pen. Using feeling icon is one of typical character when they write an email and maybe it is not easy to find full sentences because they usually focus on short sentences and the used language is not up to standard so meeting difficulty in writing a formal letter is understandable. Therefore, children should learn how to memorize more than depending on checking grammar tools when using computer.

Oh, well. I think there are two kinds: paper newspaper and electronic newspaper. Nowadays, Paper newspapers is often read by the elder and middle-age, meanwhile the youth likes to read electronic newspaper. Well, you know electronic newspaper is usually updated to everyhours but edition of the paper newspaper is just published in a day or even in a month. I go without saying that electronic paper is more and more development in my country.

Right Ok! children is usually teached when they can talk or not. Well you know, when I was a child, my father teached me not to interrupt adult because that is impolite.Actually, Children usually regard them like centre of universe and want to everyboby also think too. You might not know this but children interrupt adult because they willful with their parent. If these behaviours is not warned, children will slap adult down more frequently. Another point which I could add is that if you are a child and you want to express your opinion, you will must to put up your hand to wait your teacher to agree. Finally, children should be teached to say “sorry” “ thanks you” or “please” when it is necessary.

Oh, I agree that using computers strongly impact to children’s writing skills. Actually, they just familiar to type word on computer and they will lost habit to be a writer. Well, you know writing a email is fully different with a letter: email can be writed to formal or informal but letter must be writed to formal. Consequently, Children do not know to write a formal essay or a petitions which is attached much important in many jobs. Another point Which I could add is that nowadays children usually use computer to chat or take a message with a new language called teen language that damaged to mother tongue. As a result, children’s writing skills is more limited than the others who less use computer.

Well. From my own perspective, newspaper of viet nam is very multiform in both quality and quantity but I suppose there are two basic kinds. Firstly, it is political newspaper, which includes information and reports about human, natural, cultures, economic and issues of government and so on be updated daily. Another kind is entertainment newspapers. They have more articles about celebrities, crimes. All things that people want to relax. Furthermore, their form is very nice with more pictures and flash decorations. Also, the language they use tends to be simpler. So I suppose that’s more or less what newspapers are like in my country.


2. Tell me some of the rules about talking that children in your country learn, such as when they can talk and when they cant.
Well, I think that all people expect their children to be educated about talking rules to become a polite person. I believe that the first thing children must know is how to listen to the advices from adults carefully with one serious attitude. For example, children must be taught to silent and concentrate in speaker. Especially, not to yawn and prove tired in this period.
The second thing is also important is that children should be reminded to greet when they meet adults. Say hello or hi with a lovely smile is a good impression for other people. Besides, they have to use inviting everyone before having meals or say please, thank you when they ask or receive helps or gifts.


3. What effects do you think using computers could have on children s writing skills ?
Well, I believe everything has good side and bad side and using computer for writing is no excepting. Especially, the children’s writing skills. Writing by computer is convenient, clean, and quick. Because if children use the computer a lot, they will find the difficulty at spelling. For example, computer has support which can check spelling and fix mistakes automatically, so children don’t have to remember the correct spelling form and grammar in the way that they do who don’t use computer.
In addition, children often spend more time to use internet so they can be depended on it and lazily to think when they do hand writing.

There is no denying that everything has more than one face and wealth is no exception. Many people hold the opinion that richness can give them happiness. On the other hand, there are also a sizable percentage of people who take the view that having a lot of money does not completely make people happy. From my own perspective, money is necessary but not all to bring us happiness.

One side of two, having a lot of money makes people miserable. The first reason that can be seen by many people is that when people have a lot of money, there is no reason for them to work hard and get on in life because it will make no difference to their lives. Therefore, life will become very boring and meaningless. The second thing that must be taken into consideration is that they have no real friends. Their friends are maybe people who only care their money and take unfair advantage of them. Finally, a disadvantage of having too much money while not controlling it well can lead to social evils, especially teenagers. They can spend their money on gambling, drugs, … This affects badly not only to themselves, their families but also sociaty. In fact, this is a serious problem which is occuring in major cites in Vietnam.

Nevertheless, lack of money certainly make us unhappy. This is undeniable that wealth gives us a better life, especially in today’s modern life. Perhaps the most important reason is that wealth is an indispensable element to support our dreams and desires more easily. For instance, we can invest money for studying university, MA/MBA, PhD abroad or improving our English ability,… which help for our career in the future very much. This is also a guarantee for us if we have health problems. In addition, this is because of the simple fact that if we are rich, means we do not have to worry about money, we will do many things that we want, such as owning expensive houses, buying luxury cars and brandname clothes, … also travelling the famous landscape all over the world. Futhermore, we can also use money in a more meaningful way by senting money to the charity oganisations to help people such as the billionaire Bill Gate and wife or Warrren Buffet, …

Based on the above discussion and analysis, we can see that wealth can ensure the better life but it also bring us bad effects if we use and control it inefficiently.

Em chào chị, em đã dõi theo các lớp học TA của chị từ lâu rồi, nhưng chưa có xiền để theo học ạ :"> Bây giờ em đã kiếm đc xiền (đi làm thêm + xin bố mẹ chỗ còn thiếu hì hì),nhưng lại bận đi làm thêm đến hết tháng 9 nên ko tham gia 2 lớp trên kia của chị đc. Chị cho em hỏi, trong tháng 10 có lớp pre Ielts nào nữa ko hoặc lớp sớm nhất dự kiến là vào tháng mấy ạ?
